Who’s Caoilinn then?
The Google Girl
I took up a job with Google New Zealand when I moved here 3 years ago. This is where I became a ‘search’ convert. I worked with some of New Zealand’s biggest brands and ad agencies, helping them understand and implement Search Marketing campaigns. While at Google, I paid special attention to New Zealand’s Finance clients, which helped me determine who I shouldn’t bank with.
Before that I worked as a freelance writer for websites like Channel4 in the UK.
I also did a Masters in Twentieth Century Irish Theatre and Culture… which has nothing whatsoever to do with digital marketing. Thankfully.
In my spare time…
- I’m writing a young adult novel about time travel.
- I cycle around big lakes like Taupo.
- I kayak down freezing rivers on weekends, petrified.
- I do theatre reviews. It keeps me up late.
- I occasionally airbow my violin in the back rows of the Auckland Symphony Orchestra.
- I own a surfboard but can’t stand up on it.
- My boyfriend is ginger and eats a lot of bread… which is the recipe for gingerbread men: one of my favourite cookie types.
